In winter, silos in concrete plants must be heated. In addition, concrete must be tempered in order to achieve good results with ready-mixed concrete. KTI – SAUTER has three systems in its portfolio to cover both areas.
The KTI – SAUTER CombiMaster is used when the fresh concrete has to be heated in winter before processing and cooled in summer.
The KTI – SAUTER hot air units (OLH) are used in a concrete plant to heat silos in winter.
The KTI – SAUTER TURBO is used when high performance is required for tempering concrete.
It is highly compatible and can be combined with all types of silos: Star silos, tower silos or in-line silos – while complying with all the individual requirements of all concrete producers. Each hot air unit consists of a solid frame and a completely welded steel housing. The housing is equipped with an internal high temperature insulation and offers the best sound and heat insulation.
It generates hot air and hot water with only one central burner. While the required fresh water is heated via the heating coil, a mixture of hot combustion gas and air flows through the silos to temper the aggregates and the sand. Thus, all the thermal energy is used for heating the concrete and losses are minimized. For high performance, the KTI – SAUTER TURBO is the most economical system for concrete heating.
