The KTI Underground Chiller is the answer to the challenge of developing a chiller that can operate underground. With which heat removal can be achieved either by using water from a spray chamber, from a cooling tower or even the contaminated water from the underground network that must be pumped to the surface. Weather chillers can also be used on the surface and moved underground at a later date. The Underground Chiller can be operated in high efficiency mode (COP = 5.77) using water from the underground network with water temperature of +17 ° C for heat removal (condensation). Alternatively, the standard mode is available using water from an underground cooling tower or spray chamber (COP = 3.89) with water inlet of +33 ° C.
